The Ozark Mountain Hoe-Down began their
26th consecutive season in Eureka Springs, Arkansas on Friday, March
9, 2007.
The Ozark Mountain Hoe-Down has a long standing
tradition of providing not only the hottest pickers in the Eureka
Springs area, but
also the kind of comedy that will have you repeating the punch lines
for days. It's an all around "feel good" kind of show that
will leave you ready to come back for more.
This year's show could possibly be the
best yet! Last year, the Ozark Mountain Hoe-Down received top reviews from all over
the country about their 25th Anniversary show. Never to be outdone,
the Ozark Mountain Hoe-Down made it a priority to make 2007 even better. It's a
little bit of bluegrass, a little classic country mixed in with some
new, lots of great Gospel music, hilarious comedy from P. Nutt,
Granny, Girl, and the biggest burst of energy one stage can hold!
The stage still shines with the faces
you can't wait to see again, year after year, and we've added one more
you just might remember from a few seasons back!
The 2007 cast is
Randall George (lead guitar and drums), DaWayne George (bass guitar),
Dusty Wilson (drums and vocals), Barb Childress (keys and vocals), Lee
Hendrix (keys and vocals) Eddie Snow (steel guitar and banjo), Ted
Snow (guitar and vocals), Nathan Agdeppa (fiddle), Leslie Wright
(vocals), Jay Mischel (sound and lights), and we can't forget P. Nutt,
Granny
and Girl!
The show kicks off with some hot
bluegrass pickin' at 7:30pm, followed by a visit from P. Nutt and
Granny. The main show begins at 8:00pm with high energy, toe-tappin'
music right from the start! P. Nutt's been on vacation with Granny,
Girl, and Bill Clinton, and the details will have you in the floor
laughing. The Snow Brothers still show off their talents with some
sibling rivalry, and the Gospel music is better than ever this year.
There's a new tribute to the Hee-Haw show, and you'll be hysterical
after hearing about Junior Samples' visit to the doctor. Just when you
think you've seen the best show the Ozarks has to offer, the Hoe-Down
saves the best for last with the most powerful patriotic segment ever
performed on this stage.
This is not a year to miss the Ozark
Mountain Hoe-Down! In addition to the 8pm show, the Hoe-Down will have
a brand new matinee show at 3pm beginning May 1st. The show features
much of the same cast, but with an all new afternoon show! From May
through October, the Hoe-Down will be open every night, hosting 3
shows daily.
