The Eureka Springs Mending Medicine
Conference will be held at The Blue
Springs Heritage Center (Formerly Eureka Gardens) starting on
Saturday,
October 13th through Monday, October 15th in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
A weekend of wisdom for Healers and Seekers!
This is a three day conference that will open your mind, body and
spirit to the wisdom of the old ways through healing sessions,
ceremony and more.
The 3rd Annual Mending Medicine Conference is a gathering for those
interested in natural and alternative healing and medicines.
Lench Archuleta - will lead a keynote gathering and an interactive
workshop on wisdom of the old ways.
Lench is a Yaqui Indian and traditional native healer from Southern
Arizona who has worked with individuals and small groups in the
Sonoran Desert for more than twenty years. He collaborates with
numerous medical doctors, health practitioners, therapists, and other
traditional healers as a counselor, consultant, advisor, and spiritual
guide
Lench's background includes work with numerous Native American
Nations, as well as fifteen years as an advisor for Department of
Defense on Ethnic and Human Relations with an emphasis on Native
American traditions and philosophies.
He has worked as a counselor and teacher for over twenty years and
lectures throughout the United States. In the fall of 2000, Lench
represented Native American Peoples before Pope John Paul II at the
World Mission Conference at the Vatican in Rome, Italy.
Jim Fain - a breakout session on world events.
Not liking how things are? Are you stunned by the sheer amount of
greed? Wonder why so many people act so mean and thoughtless? Feel
like you are not part of the mainstream? Come and learn why you are
here and how to manifest more of what you require. This is old
Medicine for the people of today.
Doc Fain is an honest to goodness healer & teacher. He uses his
knowledge that comes from being in hospital care for 30 years (he was
Chief of Nuclear Medicine at Harbor/UCLA), publishing more than 25
scientific works, presenting to nationwide professional groups,
advancing through a 4 years post doctoral degree in Gestalt Psychology
and truly walking the desert with his friend, a Yaqui Medicine Man. He
has undertaken Ayahuaska, been gifted with dozens of Eagle feathers
(all given back to indigenous Americans) and been given his native
name.
Catherina Bernstein Zorok - a breakout session on energy healing.
Catherina Zorok is the Director of the Suchness Day Spa in Eureka
Springs and creator of Suchness Healing Spa Rituals. Prior to creating
the Suchness Spa at the New Orleans Hotel in Eureka Springs, Catherina
directed the New Moon Spa at the Historic Crescent Hotel.
Jim TwoFeathers - a breakout session on Coyote medicine.
Jim is a member of the Mvscogee Nation (Wolf Clan). He is also
Cherokee and Ishwa Catawba. Jim has been an artist and writer and has
walked the Medicine Path for many years.
Kit Shepperd - a breakout session on Spirit Medicine.
Kit is an ordained minister with the Fellowship of the Divine Healer,
a Reiki Master, Metaphysician, Hypnotherapist, Neuro Linguistic
Programming Practitioner, Master Herbalist, Licensed Massage Therapist
and Alternative Health Therapist.
The conference will begin Friday afternoon on October 13th and end
Sunday the 15th at noon. It will consist of several breakout
sessions (from the above speakers) and an inspirational keynote
gathering and afternoon workshop with Lench on Saturday.
All three meals will be served on Saturday followed by a ceremony,
drumming and music under the historic bluff shelter on Saturday
evening.
