Eureka Springs May Festival of the Arts

Held on Tuesday, May 1st, 2007 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.

Events and activities every day, every week during the month of May celebrating arts in all its forms. The theme for the 2007 Festival is "Garden Party." This theme will be used for ARTragious Parage entries and Yard Art entries as well as other events to be announced.

Gallery walks, concerts, dances, artist receptions, parade, contests, workshops and demonstrations. Something for kids of all ages. Including the return of the very popular Spring Art and Yard Art.

2008 Poster Contest:
--Submission Deadline April 16, 2007
--All entries will be displayed through May and the winner will be announced June 11.

Bench Art:
--Auction: April 28th at 1:00 pm in Basin Spring Park, downtown.
--Installation of new benches: April 29.

Spring Art:
--Entry Deadline: Feb. 28th
--Finalists Announced: Mar. 1
--Winner Announced: May 5 at Basin Spring Park.

Yard Art:
--Entry Deadline: April 6
--Installation: April 23-28

Parade:
--Entry Deadline: April 16
--Event: May 5 4:00 pm

UPDATE

Spring Art Theme: Artist Choice

The deadline for the Spring Art Competition has been extended to March 10th. Please submit your conceptual drawings or photographs, and a list of construction materials, to The City Auditorium.
Ten finalists will be chosen on March 11th, and then given until April 29th to construct their piece in a city park.
The newly installed art will be judged on May 2nd by a roster of skilled artists from the region.
The winner will receive the Marty and Elise Roenigk Grand Prize of $5000, and the work will be permanently displayed in town. Announcement ceremony will be held on May 5th, directly after the ARTrageous Parade, in Basin Spring Park.

Yard Art
Theme: Garden Party

From the kitschy to the fine, all outdoor art is accepted to enter the contest.
If you are from out of town, we will help you locate a yard for your display.
