Hysterical! Join the Eternal Sword Temperance Union at The Grand
Central Hotel in a hilarious musical spoof of an 1898 Temperance
Rally. Authentic music, gorgeous singing, beautiful Victorian
costumes, comedy improvisation and plenty of audience
participation highlight this boisterous bar room comedy. Go
ahead, friends….enjoy a scrumptious dinner and a drink or two
with us! Sing along as they exhort you to “Forswear Demon
Rum” and “Renounce the Serpent in the Wine Cup.” You’ll
even have a chance to recite and sign “The Temperance
Pledge!” The Grand Central Hotel serves up a refreshing shot
of American history….with a “twist.”
Temperance Tantrums is an original theatrical production
designed to be a whimsical look back to 1898, when the
Temperance Movement in America was in full cry. With authentic
music and boisterous bar room comedy, Temperance Tantrums is
modeled after the Temperance rallies of the past, where the
object was to persuade individuals to forswear alcohol and vote
for the Temperance Cause. It combines elements of musical
theatre, melodrama, comedy improvisation, and audience
involvement into a humorous and unique entertainment experience.

Menu: CHAMPAGNE CHICKEN – Sautéed
chicken breast with champagne cream sauce, rice and seasonal
vegetables or BAKED TILAPIA – Served with herb and garlic
butter, rice and seasonal vegetables.
Each entrée includes a house salad of fresh greens, hot bread
and butter, and a scrumptious dessert!
